You had me with that, I was like what the fuck! Very naive I know

From memory he did a very long hold the ball on the hurl before striking. DJ esque. And he got very low going into it. But he was pretty accurate. He just didnā€™t contribute much more.

Smith had no choice as McCarthy was through and would have scored. Fitzhenry scored a penalty and 21 that day if I remember right. Timmy Houlihan was dodgy under high balls all day, Yellowbellies had Nicky Lambert at edge of square to intimidate him. Timmy got no protection off Teege anyway.

Wadding from Waterford fucked us over big time in second half. Seanie Oā€™Connor was clean through for a goal, only Wadding decided not to play advantage and called it back for a free. I was in upper Cusack and absolutely lost it.

Youā€™d have no craic on here without us buster

Teege not a good full back?

Where would you have him for the ā€˜Well?

Ah he didnā€™t fall for it did you @Jayo76

I did!

Youā€™re a nawful man @carryharry

Teege was a grand full back but he was a bit small and got exposed in the air sometimes against the big men. Tbf it rarely happened.
He was sticky and he was great on the ground. He was a great man to get his arse over the ball. One of the most valued traits in a fullback in the olden days.

Heā€™d have been ate alive at full back in todayā€™s hurling. But sure heā€™s not the only one. He would have been a grand half forward still in the current game. He had a good hurling brain

The fun police put a stop to the fun. Those Limerickā€™s :man_shrugging:

I donā€™t want to be giving them ideas before we play them :joy::joy: but Iā€™d probably chance him midfield if they trusted someone else to be 6 (now that they have Evan Fitz).

Shur look it

I get your point but the wells other five backs are very weak. You might get more of byrnes but nap would destroy their backs. You need him back there.

Yeah, look, obviously youā€™d have to see the team as a whole in training and challenges before making a big call like that. And thatā€™s not something the Well have had a chance to trial due to Limerickā€™s success.

I have talked to a few people from the Well who do think it could be worth a shout. They have a few solid backs but they mightnā€™t have a whole pile of hurling. But last year, they had a weak full-back line for the level they were playing at, I would agree.

They have some better players on the junior hurling side

How would you rate him, what type of player is he? Skillfull, big, fast etc ? I donā€™t think iā€™ve seen him play.

He was a good hurler but Iā€™m not sure heā€™s at much nowadays.

Often repeated gah cliche
