Awful choke job from Clare, covered up a very average Limerick performance…Hego does some great stuff but also does some Junior B level stuff too…2 points on the board and some breathing room

Ah come on, Ive seen Cork disgrace themseves multiple times as badly, Tipp only a few years ago. Its what they are running up against.

They can do both. Can’t give up goals like that and compete in any game. Klare love to guffaw at galway goalies but have had way worse ones for decades now.

Hard to see Clare bouncing back from that. Its the manner of the defeat thats most galling. However they did concede a couple of soft goals through Fuohy in first rd vs Tipp last year and regrouped but were lead all day in that one. By 55th minute it was a matter of how much Clare would win by but their main men went missing and Limerick had freexmen everywhere when game went unstructured. Cleary and Hogan with 2 yellow cards had their wings clipped too in terms of what they could get away with with off the ball pulling and dragging and then the floodgates opened. Those 2 had their cards marked by end of the league. They should have kept their powder dry.

When a team completely capitulates like that 8 points up and conceding a goal ok but just implodes the blame surely lies with the management.
Every bit of structure and tactics went out the window.
