Cant imagine he will be hurling for Waterford next yearâŚhis body is in bits id say
Was there some technical trouble in the Gaelic grounds today ? (Besides cork defence)
Nasty stuff
I think there is a touch of Ronan Maher about him. He needs to be contesting high ball and holding the middle to be at his best or matched up on a ball winner who isnât going to test him with clever movement. He is a fine decisive hurler doing the latter but is very flat footed
I didnât notice anything. What did you notice?
Congratulations to Limerick on regaining their title. May 18th must be the earliest All-Ireland final in history. Thereâs no more hurling to be played this year, at least according to people from Limerick.
I cant believe anyone that actually regularly watches hurling games thought today would be anything other than a comprehensive Limerick win.
Apples doesnât attend games
It was nearly, nearly enough to dislodge Cork from the top of the POWER RANKINGS.
I wasnât at the game.
Fundamentally clueless
Did he die in the made up story you were posting earlier today about a body being loaded into an ambulance?
Theyâll probably get Calum Lyons and Fagan back next year but lose Bennett and someone else.
Theyâve wasted a generation now that they may never again have which is a pity.
Limerick showed much more aggression in the middle third which was the big difference I felt. Also defensively they were really clever in not allowing goal chances particularly early on. That win was full of anger and will stand to Limerick untold amount.
Lynch a wizard around the middle. Some man to operate a tight space. Hegarty had a fine game I thought, winning some important puck outs. CON off the bench is a scary thought, heâs one of the best hurlers in the country.
Hello Apples ![]()
Heâs never been a particularly reliable free taker. Those three early missed frees were real momentum suckers for Waterford. Heâs still carrying most of the scoring burden in that Waterford forward line though. Thereâll be some serious void when he departs along with Barron. Waterford could well be back to the level they were at for much of the 1980âs and 1990âs as there is very little coming through at the moment. Theyâre not far off those levels as it is anyway.
Itâs a fairly damning of the condition that Aussie is in, that with the Waterford forwards as bad as they were today and carrying so many passengers that management werenât even prepared to take a punt on him for 10 minutes or so to see if he could make something happen.
Im just watching it back here but Pat Ryan and co would want to be called to the stewards room.
Well Cork thought they had it won in March/April and Paddy Power seemed to agree soâŚ
Also would bring your attention to the night in Supervalu Park when Cork won in the round robin game
He missed a simple one the day he got a hat trick in croke park against the cats.
Same in the all Ireland final last year. One youâd score blindfolded almost.
Stone cold facts of it, if the boys were as good as made out, theyâd be walking counties. Hoggy is obviously a top man, but the two boys are good but not great.
