Remind me a lot more of the Cork team of 2014. Believing their own hype and getting blown asunder when the talk was put to the test against Tipp.
Better individual talent but a bit similar. Newtown dog did a lot for Cork, ruined it but made it.
Corkās 6 backs are a huge issue for them
Teams have figured out the two Downeys move like treacle and then you have suspect defenders like Coleman, SOD, NOL which can be got at.
I think they need to restructure the team and have Rob sweeping in front of full backline and man mark lynch which reduces them to 2 inside forwards instead of 3
Tipp are growing at a rate of knots not even the most ardent Tipp supporter could have foreseen.
This year might be too soon but weāre well ahead of schedule.
City end scoreboard wasnāt working.
Sure thereās a cohort here who think hurling should work like that. Two teams standing off each other watching points fly overā¦I never saw ignorance like it.
Since the year dot hurling is a game where you had to earn the right to play. No good being stylish if you canāt back it up in the physical stakes
The start of Tippās second coming in 2014 after three years of underperformance was a defeat by an average enough Limerick team that left them with a lot of questions, especially about the full back. They found a full back and tipped along from there.
I was very impressed with Tipp today and Cahill deserves huge plaudits.
Andrew Ormond is adding greatly to the attack. And the u20s have a bit of class about them
Cork seem happy with a big squad nobody major ever gets dropped or leaves the squad in 2017 there was a huge turnover or even last year Kiely moved on a few players hayes and Connolly are fine players but could get too comfortable if know wonāt be dropped
The best Limerick player Iāve ever seen
Tipp have a nice blend coming through. Physically powerful and some tasty lads up front. Im not convinced about the management though
15 mins in seeing Kyle chase down Barrett and take the ball off him was some moment.
He will change from the most dominant 7 to ever play the game to most dominant 6. Heās a nightmare matchup for Darragh Fitz or Barrett - just too powerful and fast for them.
Ive a neighbour that used to work with my dad. Heās a handy mechanic and does bits for me. Anyway I asked him today to roll a field id reseeded and saw him starting around lunch.
I looked an hour ago and saw heād barely done one loop. I figured he got into some bother but heād actually left a message saying he was called into the Gaelic grounds to fix something. I think he works with broadband dishes and stuff like that. He got an a guarda escort from the traffic lights in Clarina into the Gaelic grounds. I was wondering was it a tall tail but there you are.
Tipp will win an All Ireland before Cork
You could never rule out Kilkenny. Granted they look fairly tame but that tradition and weight of history can never be discounted.
That was uneal. Didnāt hegarty do the same to Downey
Theyāre miles better than that team. That team didnāt have a record of beating anybody serious. They got into a final in 2013 by beating a Kilkenny team who looked like theyād been fed a feed of Rohypnol and a game but limited Dublin team and in 2014 beat a poor Waterford team, a Clare team operating at about 20% of the capacity of 2013 and a limited Limerick team.
Tipp 2010 as @peddlerscross states would be a much more pertinent comparison.
Cork beat Limerick fair and square last year twice
They are not as manure as they looked today ( I think)
The hype is gone from their supporters and Pat Mulcahy after the hammering today and that is no bad thing for them
I wouldnt dance too much in terms of them being finished if I was a Limerick
Nobody has doubted Cahill more than me but he might just be on the brink of steering this ship in the right direction.
McCarthy, OāFarrell and OāDonoghue off the u20ās are all special. Doyle is a rolls royce.
Jake Morris wont get much credit for it but he is turning into an elite forward.
The Tipperary Jersey counts for a huge amount in Croke Park. Either Galway take us out in a Quarter Final in Limerick, or its very much onā¦
