Heâll surely get a couple of runs in league even as a sub?
I donât actually know the specifics of all those guys, but I think some of them may have walked themselves when they werenât first-choice. Kiely probably would have been happy to have someone like Gavin as a panel member but Gavin may have felt at the age of 30/31, that it was the right time to step away. Same with Jim-Bob, Iâd say he hardly went from being captain to being dropped completely.
Good points in fairness

He was dropped already Mike. Cahill wasnât going to bring him back in.
Was he? My bad so. I thought Cahill gave him his papers
Remind me,
was it ten points that Limerick spotted Cork where youâd hand in your notice to the forum admin?
Or was that somebody else?
Ah I wouldnât say theres too many mental scars there. After 18 and 19, getting to a Munster final was even a bonus. Yeah they took a bit of a trimming in the AIF but I dont think it left any psychological scars. If anything it showed them the bar they have to rise to and Cahill seems to be savvy enough to realise it. With lockdown they might not quite reach the physicality required but at this moment in time I would rank them second in Munster at least and probably pushing Galway for second in the country
whereâs Jerome Cahill gone? Theyâll start to come again. Few years away yet though.
Donât think Jerry Cahill on the panel at the moment.
This year probably more a transition year. No great expectations. Has to see if any morr of the 20s/21s from 18/19 ready for the breakthrough. Werenât teams stacked with superstars though. The older fellas will all still be there or thereabouts. The only one who played and had a particularly poor championship last year was Paudie Maher but he had knee op six weeks before it started.
Could make a go at getting to last four as the standard (outside of Limerick) is quite poor at the moment IMO.
Limerick so far ahead itâs a done deal already.
Cork are in the long grass and fear they will give Limerick more trouble than expected. If Limerick arenât 100% they can be caught on the hop. I can see cork getting to the AI semi through the back door bit wonât match Galway/KK.
Tipp will be interesting to see if Sheedy will transition younger guys in. They have had a few decent players in the under 20s last 3 years.
Waterford will improve again.
Its not a done deal that Limerick will won it but its set up to be great Munster championship. Roll on July
Ah give over⌠Favourites for sure but itâs gonna be a funny year with all thatâs gone on and short prep time. Galway more than good enough to bate Limerick.
Not at all.
Limerick have management, panel, back room setup & experience.
Theyâll beat teams at their ease & leisure.
I know the Mahers were all very good in 2019 but donât think any of them had a great season last year.
A little bit more pace in the half-back line (I know Sheedy tried to fix this by putting NOM back, but I think you lose a little up front then) and a new goalkeeper, and Tipp will be there or thereabouts.
Limerick AI last year has an asterisk against it. Hopefully we can get back to two halves and not four quarters and a proper AI soon.

Limerick AI last year
Yes. Yes they did.
I reckon cork have a kick in them yet

I think youâre overrating Kilkenny there. Iâd say Cork probably have more promising youngsters coming through than KK that could be useful this year. Cork were possibly even favoured before the sides met in 2019. If Waterford can beat Kilkenny then so can Cork.
