I’m interested to hear you develop this thought a bit more. Isn’t your second sentence there, that they were anti establishment, the very definition of punk? Of course they grew way beyond the perceived boundaries of punk music, but does that mean they were never punk? I don’t think so myself.
An amazing album. Like you said about bands growing and developing as albums go on, each clash album had a different sound, atmosphere. It’s a mark of the top top bands.
