My Favourite Album

I’m almost certain someone on the board with a vegetable in their name did a documentary on that show… I liked 120 minutes… It threw up mundane pop like Oasis and blur but would then throw up some right alt rock or electronic music you’d hear no where else.

Great record, still listen to it regularly. Bought it second hand for 5.99 in Borderline records in Temple Bar. The standout tunes for me are Ageispolis and We are the Music Makers.

Love the darkness to Hedphelym, and that old skool acid house intro to Pulsewidth

Heliosphan is my favourite.

The album does sound like it was recorded on the most basic of equipment which probably adds to the charm.

A bit before my time but my brothers watched it without fail. Where else would you get Come In by the Palace Brothers and The Summerhouse by the Divine Comedy side by side?

You could get anything from the Dropkick Murphy’s to Bjork to Portishead to Tom Waits
I remember hearing this on there one night. Sublime.

It’s still my most played Aphex Twin album, the quality is top notch from start to finish. I think it’s his best album, even though the rest of his albums have arguably better individual tracks. Volume II is a great listen from start to finish as well but you have to be in the mood.

Happened upon one of those “classic album” shies on sky arts, was the Joshua Tree by U2

As a young lad I loved that album. Would listen to it obsessively. Still sounds great.

Then they released “the fly” and “numb” and I pretty much lost interest in U2, with the odd exception.

You begrudge him trying to make a few Bob off it?

no, but his first port of call should be his parents, not the band

I’d imagine his parents are cool with this. Best of luck to him and his attempts to get a few Bob off the band and the estate, they’ve pucks of it

It’s a shakedown. Band should be asking for an undertaking in costs

It is. I wish him all the very best

Kurt Cobain would be turning in his grave over this.

If he was dead.

Kurt was a ham
