My lovely horse running through the field

Did they sack the fella who took the photo after? Gas cunts

Good one. Iā€™d say none of us expect it at all from you

Howā€™d it go anyway, anybody here win decent money?

Cleaned out to a man

The bastards were wiped out. Karma.

Enjoy the beers. Iā€™ll take that as a yes. Everyone needs a stook to be the fall guy.

This post came to mind, and the old quote about bookies not riding bicycles

The Coates and the original Betfair people who own Brighton made fortunes as the first to really recognise the potential of online.

Ivan and Celtic were cleaned out, no online and paying long leases with too high a rent.

I could see it going back towards the shops again as affordability checks will surely come in everywhere for online gambling, will save a lot of people.

Stoke City is a great job for Michael Oā€™Neill, they have the money to kick on if he can convince them with the right foundation.

They backed Pulis massive one year but he bought duds

Was it not Hughes who spent a good bit there

Couldā€™ve been actually, it shook them up anyway.

They seem to be like the spurs lads and want it to pay for itself more or less.

Yep, was Hughes, Iā€™m mistaken

33 players in 4 years, no wonder they tightened up.

Did similar at QPR

90% of their turnover comes from outside the UK and unregulated markets. Cheltenham would be a drop in the ocean for them. Your point is still completely valid however.

When you go into betfair and see the money matched on we say a World Cup final or tennis grand slam final
and then compare it to the amount of money matched on the gold cup or champion hurdle you realise just how small beans national hunt racing is in the grand scheme of betting despite its prominence here in Ireland.

Absolutely spot on. 365 were first to capture a lot of the in play market which has ridiculous margins and turnover. The Asians love the buzz of live betting

The IPL is starting next week.

Theyā€™ll be millions matched on it.

Was it $500m traded on the US presidential election? Betfair cleared $20m pure profit on that single market alone just in commission fees I think. Absolute madness

Just speaking about Ireland myself,
Cheltenham and the Grand National is the acceptable face of gambling, my gripe initially was with the pally, this is all a great laugh advertising around Cheltenham, thereā€™s nothing glamorous about backing horses (or anything else)
The bookies win

Paddy Power perfected this advertising of have a bet while youā€™re in the pub with your mates. They were the first to normalise this.
