Gavin tried to win the final without Connolly to make a point. He was big enough to go crawling to him at half time when his point making was about to backfire spectacularly.
Jim needs Connolly or there will be no 4 in a row imo.

I believe an astute poster on here said Gavin was seething at having to use Connolly to win last Septembers All Ireland, and it was part of the reason for his even more dour than usual demeanor after the full time whistle.

Iād agree with Tom. Thereās no valid reason not to get the games played at a later date. The GAA just want to be able to say they met their deadline.

If the GAA agree to it you will have the CPA crying about the month for clubs being abandoned, other county managers saying itās unfair that some teams can play games in April while their teams canāt, and a prominent tweeter from Leitrim giving out that he wasnāt personally consulted about the game being refixed. This āApril for clubsā nonsense needs to be got rid of as quickly as it was introduced.
