NCAA Football 2014/15

Mississippi State 17-03 up at half on LSU, but a fumble by State on very first play of second half immediately makes it 17-10.

Ah jaysis, Prescott after a great trick play 3rd and 10 get, then runs 60 yards for a TD 24-10

Gordon III had 13 rushes for 253 yards and 5 TD’s for Wisconsin earlier. Some numbers tight there!

31-10 State end of third, with State 3rd and goal. Stick a fork in it

Seems LSU got 19 unanswered points to close to 34-29

Cracking game on now. Ducks 31-31 Washington State. 9 mins to go

ESPN serving up a SEC triple header today

5pm: Tennessee @ Georgia
8.30pm: Arkansas @ Texas A&M
Midnight: Missouri @ South Carolina

BT2 will be showing Notre Dame v Syracuse at 1am

First game gives us a chance to have a good look at Heisman front runner, Georgia RB Todd Gurley, a certain first round pick next year if he stays healthy.

Brett Hundley finally caught fire on Thursday night as he passed for 4 TDs in #11 UCLA’s 62-27 demolition of #15 Arizona State.

51 Yard TD run there for Gurley.
17-28 Georgia 4th Quarter
51 Yard TD run there for Gurley.
17-28 Georgia 4th Quarter
Only caught the second half, it was a cracking game. Gurley is a stud, over 200 yards today and a great run to get the 'Dogs the crucial first down at the end of the game.

Great start to the A+M V Arkansas game here, the Aggies strolled up the pitch on their opening drive but the Hogs have hit back here and look very impressive, this could be a big shoot out.

Huge story developing in Raleigh, N Carolina. #1 Florida State, with Jameis Winston back at QB, are losing 24-7 to unranked North Carolina State and it’s not even the end of the first quarter. Can the Wolfpack hold on for what would be a sensational upset?

Arkansas’s Australian punter Sam Irwin-Hill has just ran in a 51 yard TD on a fake

Huge upset in Eugene last night as #2 Oregon were humbled 31-24 by unranked Arizona, who were 24 point underdogs and move to 5-0.

Ducks QB (and consensus #1 pick in next year’s NFL draft) Marcus Mariota, coming off a 7 sack mauling by Washington State, was terrorised by the Wildcats all night and there will be grave doubts about his welfare going forward playing behind such a porous O-line.

This result has really thrown the PAC-12, north and south, wide open.

After a slow start to the season, the action really kicks off today with no fewer than six games between ranked opponents. ESPN have superb coverage today …

5pm: #6 Texas A&M @ #12 Mississippi State (LIVE)
8.30pm: #3 Alabama @ #11 Ole Miss (LIVE)
Midnight: #15 LSU @ #5 Auburn (LIVE)
3.30am: Utah @ #8 UCLA (LIVE)

It’s probably the biggest day in the history of sports in the state of Mississippi. First up are Mississippi State who entertain Texas A+M, the Bulldogs are coming off a huge win in Baton Rouge against LSU and will be fancying their chances against the Aggies. Next up Ole Miss face the Alabama juggernaut. The Rebels have pulled in some stellar recruiting classes lately and it looks like it’s starting to pay dividends, their D has been superb so far, but this is the acid test.

Other games between ranked teams are…

#4 Oklahoma @ #25 TCU
#19 Nebraska @ #10 Michigan State, massive Big 10 game.
#14 Stanford @ #10 Notre Dame, I might end up watching this one if the missus insists on watching the fucking X factor
