Great story chewy, Keane really made a fool out of Lennon in that Exchange :lol:
How did the relationship with Celtic begin for St Pauli, Rocko? I will be in Hamburg during the year, do you want me to bring the greetings of the forum to St Pauli?
Coming up in a few minutes.
What a guy.
āIreland is very important to Celtic as itās the basis of our whole values and history.ā
NEIL LENNON faces a third censure from the SFA in a week after being carpeted for comments ahead of Celticās match with St Johnstone this weekend.
SFA Compliance Officer Vincent Lunny has written to the Hoops boss after quotes made to the Evening Times which appeared on Tuesday.
St Johnstone visit Parkhead on Sunday for a match in which Lennonās side could win the SPL title.
It will be refereed by George Salmond but, speaking earlier this week, the Northern Irishman was quoted as saying: āIt will be nice just to be able to go out and think only about winning a game of football ā and maybe have a decent refereeing performance into the bargain.ā
Lennon has allegedly breached Rule 69, which prevents managers commenting on referees before games, a rule which was implemented at the start of the season.
In October, Hearts manager Paulo Sergio escaped with a warning for his comments about match official Iain Brines before his sideās SPL win over Dunfermline.
Brines had riled the Portuguese boss when he disallowed an Eggert Jonsson goal for handball during the Jambosā 1-0 Scottish Communities League Cup defeat by Ayr United the previous month.
Sergio said: āI am not happy with that. I am not happy to have him at Hearts games, Iām sorry.ā
Sergio was also censured for breaching Rule 68 which, among other things, relates to suggestions of ābias or incompetence on the part of such match official; or (making) remarks about such match official(s) which impinge on his characterā.
Lennon has until tomorrow to respond to this latest charge as his recent rap sheet grows in length.
The Hoops boss was served with a notice of complaint by Lunny on Monday after being sent off by whistler Calum Murray during Sundayās Old Firm defeat to Rangers at Ibrox, a decision Lennon described as āa jokeā.
That incident came days after he was asked to explain his comments following Celticās Scottish Communities League Cup final loss to Kilmarnock, where he referred to Willie Collumās decision not to award Anthony Stokes a late penalty as āshockingā and ācriminalā.

Stuart Dougal (AKA the referee who called Lennon a āfenian bastardā and turned up to Lennonās disciplinary hearing with his lawyer) still reckons Collum got this one right.
Anyone got a still of Chaās sending off to add in here?
They really hate him. Great to see.
Rocko, have you any plans to update the āCeltic Defendingā thread? Iād be interested to get your views on the first goal.
Why are referees beyond criticism anyway? Unbelievable that Collum is till allowed ref in the Scottish top flight, nevermind being handed big games like Glasgow derbies and cup finals?
but a bit behind shamrock rovers in the whole not being irish area of things no matter how much those of you with poor geography might wish it otherwise.
on lennon his treatment is appalling but he doesn`t make any effort whatsoever to make life easier for himself. its bad enough that these nutters are out there but does he have to wind them up?
Celtic are more Irish than you.
thats interesting coming from an italian?
how do you figure that?
celtic don`t even bother their boll1x with irish players anymore from what i can see preferring to trawl through the scandinavian leagues for players.
when you see how well irish league of ireland lads have done in serious leagues like the english premiership or the championship the failure to bring in five or six lads to the first team squad for mickey mouse matchs against everyone bar rangers shows how little interest they have in anything beyond irish euros from inflatable shamrock waving weekend warriors
Werenāt the huns robbed blind by a refereeing decision in an Old Firm derby early in the season.
Lennon needs to grow up and stop feeding the big conspiracy bullshit. His side qualified for the Europa League through the courts and HMRC have pretty much put away their domestic rivals for the foreseeable future. Glasgow Celtic have had a serious run of good fortune this season and maybe itās time he recognised that and concentrated on rectifying the limitations in his side not to mention his own management.
All you have to do is visit the East End of Glasgow on match day to be surrounded by tricolours everywhere, hear the names of our most famous patriots ring out, where they will never be forgotten. Nationality transcends borders and birthplaces, it is in your blood and feeds in your heart. A fair proportion of my favourite Irish people were not born on the island itself. You speak like a bitter and corrupted free-stater jealous of the emotional bond between country and patriot.
Pity your idol stay away Irish international Anthony Stokes canāt feel that emotional bond. Isnāt Stokes the only Irish international in the squad at Parkhead? There are three from the island of Ireland in the squad at Ibrox.
Quick Quick someone respond to KIB, heās in need of attention
Thereās actually 4 Irish men at Ibrox. There are three at Celtic with another four out on loan, sadly there are not many Irish lads good enough for Celtic at the minute and we lack the resources to bring the best Irish players to Celtic Park.
Ryanair not flying to Glasgow these days? Surely the flights wouldnāt cost too much.
Westwood, Foley, Hunt, Ward, McCarthy, Doyle, Fahey, Dunne - all available in the summer, would improve the side hugely and the merchandise sales would hugely increase
None of those would improve the side, except for Dunne who is likely to command wages we would not be prepared to pay and a fee not befitting of a guy who is just gone past 30.
Why would we want any of those players when he get guys in like Izaguirre, Kayal, Wanyama, Matthews, Ledley and Stokes for next to nothing? Stephen Hunt wouldnāt improve our development squad btw.

not one of those genuses will ever be bought by a club outside of the relegation places in the premiership or the first division in borneo.
