Netherlands vs Republic of Ireland - 18/11/2023

Iā€™ve said it before & Iā€™ll say it againā€¦a side of ham would have done a better job managing Ireland than Kenny.

I always love the camera work for these Kenny interviews: it always seems to pan around in time with Spockā€™s awkward shuffling, giving it a comic skit, Apres Match style feel.

Veering towards Norma Foley territory

:raised_hand: Iā€™m putting up my hand here. Iā€™ll do it

Oā€™Donoghue shaking his hand at the end.

He actively hounded successful managers ffs.

Whatā€™s your vision for this squad? Whatā€™s your ethos?

Kenny slipped him a 50.

Ireland donā€™t have a game of consequence again until September next year.

A new angle from Spock there. We havenā€™t got results as a team/country but 8 or 9 individual players have progressed their club careers & got good moves because of their international performances.

Well done Spock.

How dangerously close to dropping to 4th seeds are we? Canā€™t be far away and will bury us for decades.

Itā€™s a pity Apres Match havenā€™t been around to ridicule Kenny. You had a body language expert on the Late Late Show analysing Stev Stauntonā€™s facial expressions in interviews back in 2007. Kenny hasnā€™t been subjected to anywhere near as much scrutiny. And Stan was a national hero after his playing performances.

Itā€™s the end of the world :joy: bad bastards

Two cheeks of the same arse.

We need to hold firm and wait for the next generation of irish/Ukrainian/somalian footballers to come through

RTE must have already used REMā€™s ā€œOrange Crushā€ as the coverage closer back in September.

They could also have gone with Everybody Hurts. Stephen Kenny is definitely out of time.
