That picture was from the Centenary Hurling Final.
That jersey was used in 1986 as well alright against Nudie Hughes’ Monaghan who were going for back to back. Laois came from Div 4 to win the League that year. Beat Kerry shortly after in a game to open O’Moore Park and we thought we were fucking unstoppable. Then we went down to Aughrim and the rest is history, Cathage fucking Buckley the Offaly cunt. I was on the sideline that day, as the crowd was so big we all just spilled onto the line.
I’ll never forget that fucking goat as long as I live.

You’re right, it was Croke Park, my memory playing tricks with me. The All Ireland Hurling Final was in Thurles, causing the rebuild and the need for the Féile, Trip to Tipp.

Best looking jersey in the country by far
I was at the Semi-Final against Tipp in Nowlan Park. That cunt John Denton sent off 3 Tipp players, Laois won by a point with the last puck off the game from a free (I think)
We never forgave Denton in Tipp over that.
