New jersey in GAA

The white one with the vertical stripes?

Good effort considering how awful the sponsor logo could have been

Shouldn’t have bothered with the darker shade stripes

Grand overall but like any GAA jersey ( and soccer & rugby jerseys ) look ridiculous on grown men who aren’t playing for the team

Thats grand. Detail on the sleeve and shorts looks nice.

The sponsor logo looks like something I could have done using Paint.net.

The jersey is now on sale on Sportsdirect but is slightly different from the jersey being sold on the O’Neills website.

On Sportsdirect it has 2 stripes on the sleeve.

On the O’Neills website and the promotional pics/videos the jersey has 3 stripes on the sleeves.

The 2 stripes version is the “International version” and the 3 stripes in the version that can be sold in Ireland which is a result of the court case between Adidas and O’Neills all those years ago

what’s the story with Mike Ashley, as in why is he so unpopular, I don’t really know anything about him and i realise I’m asking for trouble here but…

he’s a working class lad who’s made billions and doesn’t apologize for it. Think the English JP

Also, Sports Direct has some questionable work practices. He’s been pulled in front of parliament and they can’t touch him.

He’s a bit of a cunt.

This is only the beginning of the Sports Direct story, however, as it has bounced from one controversy to another in recent times.

In 2013, it was revealed that nine in ten staff were employed on zero-hours contracts, while it has also been investigated by HMRC over employees being paid below the minimum wage.

Investigations by The Guardian and Channel 4’s Dispatches TV programme discovered a number of issues at its warehouse in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, where about 3,000 people are employed.

Working conditions were compared to a “sweatshop” from the Victorian era, with bosses accused of punishing staff if they talked and staff fined if they arrived late.

A Freedom of Information request by the BBC found that, between January 2013 and December 2014, 76 ambulances or paramedic cars were sent to the postcode for the Sports Direct distribution centre – while one woman gave birth in a toilet on site.

This was a belter of a story to be fair

The Sports direct version is 22 euro and a stripe cheaper

Any adult not playing for the team wearing a jersey needs a long look in the mirror and to reflect on what the fuck they are playing at.

My pecs pop in my Laois GAA training jersey.

Sports direct version is probably available in the UK, oneills only have rights for 3 stripes within the Island of Ireland as far as I’m aware

It’ll be one of the nicer jerseys in the Joe McDonagh cup next year

A smart polo top is where it’s at for any self respecting GAA adult.

The Sports Direct logo is like something you’d knock up on Microsoft Paint in 30 seconds.

It doesn’t exactly give the design department at O’Neills a lot to work with.

Exactly. The fact that they got rid of the blue is a massive win for Cork.

Take the money and move on.
