I think it’s quite safe to assume that the only sexual contact you’ve ever had is with members of your own immediate family. Certainly the mindset you exhibit in your posts would strongly imply such.
I pity you, I really do.

What’s a suitable punishment for Hook. He has given the grovelling apology. That will hardly sate his critics though. Should he be excommunicated from society and barred from the radio. Should his listeners and anyone that attempts to defend him be sent to a gulag in the wilds of Connemara? At the very least I assume we will see advertisers pressured to boycott his show. Is there any petitions floating around I can sign? Calling @Sidney

I’ve already addressed this. His services should be dispensed with. Kevin Myers rightly lost his job over what on the whole was arguably a slightly less serious remark, serious as it was.
Like all holders of bigoted, abhorrent, and simply wrong views which have no place in society, Hook has only issued an apology because he was forced to by his employer and he fears losing his job.
His “apology” is very much of the Father Jack “I’m so, so sorry” variety and not worth the pixels that comprise it.
I’m surprised at myself that I gave you an opportunity to soapbox on your favourite topic.
The balance required was not about Trump himself. It was about him being a broadcaster capable of keeping his shit together and being semi coherent. He lost his shit and showed absolute contempt for the American people who had elected Trump. It was embarrassing. Donoghue is exactly like Hook in many ways, loves the sound of his own voice, believes in the infallibility of his opinions and has no ability to interview people for the listener or for informational purposes,he merely wants to assert his own righteousness. You continually tell us how appalling some right wing American megaphone broadcasters are. Chris is the exact same but a snowflake. He’s a joke.
How wonderful that @Sidney has found something to give his life some meaning this weekend, we really should register this place as a charity.

It’s perfectly acceptable for a broadcaster whose working brief involves some input of their own opinion to show contempt for people who vote for a contempuous candidate.
Your problem with Donoghue appears to be with his opinions, which you clearly despise.

Who gets to decide what makes a view simply right or wrong? In the past the Catholic church fulfilled that role. Do you think people need to be protected from hooks views? If so who are these people you are protecting?
While I don’t agree with his views he has a right to hold them and express them. Surely it’s up to his employer whether or not he should lose his job. Not people who find his views offensive.

For a fairly intelligent fella, you delight in deliberately misinterpreting people. My problem with Donoghue is that he is an appalling presenter. He is a bad interviewer. He loves to be ‘right’, often taking interviews down weird turns. He had the misfortune of ‘learning’ from Yates and his banter was and still is terrible. I think he’s shit. Not his views. His ability.
Your problem is that you refuse to accept this and would like to attribute my opinion to some designated demographic. It’s not. He’s just shit.
