Hook made his comments on the basis of it being a rape, which is another reason why he isn’t fit to broadcast.
His comments make clear that he believes that if a woman and a man previously unknown to each other meet and later proceed to a bedroom for what the woman believes to be a consensual sexual encounter, and the woman is subsequently raped, that she is to blame for her own rape.
What he said could barely be more clear cut.

I think he’s an excellent interviewer. Many excellent interviewers love to be “right”, in fact many excellent interviews depend on such. See Paxman at his peak, or Vincent Browne. Andrew Neil is a very combative interviewer. There are different interviewing and questioning styles.
