FAO of @Lazarus: Iām easing into the Monday morning spreadsheets accompanied by your album. Iāve had a few listens since late last week now and Iām really enjoying it.
I very much admire the songwriting and story telling and, while Iām not familiar with musical terminology/jargon, the arrangements are great in my mind.
I also like the shared vocals on various tunes. Iāve always liked the yin and yang of male/female vocals. Christ, I even liked Stars before I stopped listening to music to focus on the INTERNET.
Itās neat how many songs take you off in different directions with a change in step or whatever halfway through. I also loved seeing your softer and romantic side. Youāre a beautiful man.
You also have a very distinctive voice, which I like, even though Iāve made fun of people with lisps in the past (sorry to you and Colm Bonnar). Itās nice and gravelly, like you were singing with your thumb up your hole.
Speaking of holes and not to keep blowing smoke up yours, itās just a personal thing but Iām not a big fan of songs borrowing from speeches from film / TV / politician. But itās a minor quibble in the grand scheme of things.
Itās staggering to think a TFK member could accomplish something so good. Well done, old pal.

I will will be stealing your description of my singing voice for my big budeget marketing campaign(100 euros) Itās rough alright but the only voice I have alas, Aoife rescues the album from a vocal perspective I feel, she can actually sing you see.
