Ode to New York - by Yankee doodle
New York city is where i feel alive
So another poem i hath contrive
To be born in this country is crap. I hate the Irish
That i was an American i doth wish
Because of the attacks, all muslims and ragheads i hate
Look what they done to my city, in New York state!
In summer you will bake, in winter you will shiver
Its my beautiful city on the Hudson river
So if you went there on a trip
Please tell us what happened, let it slip
If you are a punjab you are a bastard
Did you lads go to Rocky Sullivans by any chance?
Damo Dempsey gigs there are the stuff of legend.
That’s a cracking twist in the last line of the poem btw.
no we didnt go there. PS who wrote that poem at end of your signature, was it me?

No ball, not one of yours. It’s part of the song ‘Slender Rest’ from the latest Two Gallants album What The Toll Tells. Smashing it is too.
