Celtics revenue and wages are on par with Ajax and porto yet they are miles ahead of us. If Celtic were ran well things would be different but tgey have no strategy and the appointment of lennon confirms this

Treble treble winners and the manager has to be sacked and most of the players sold because they’re not good enough. What a joyless, ungrateful crowd, a lot of Glasgow Celtic ‘fans’ are.

I think there’s nuance here, Geoff. A club like Celtic is restricted by its domestic league and needs to constantly replenish the squad as their best young players move onto bigger leagues, e.g. Dembélé, Van Dijk, Wanyama etc in recent seasons.
You also need a group of solid pros, lads who’ll stay at Celtic for their best years, e.g. Brown, Lustig, Forrest.
And you need to be bringing through good young players yourself and selectively signing the best young Scotch-Irish talent.
Celtic’s problem in the last two seasons has been that they’ve sold these young potentially elite players and not replaced them adequately, while some of the experienced pros are coming to the end. So while there should be constant smooth transition, a bit of mismanagement has meant it’s more the end of a cycle with a mini-rebuild needed.
We still won everything domestically but Celtic fans remind me of the Crucible crowd - we’re very knowledgeable - and we recognise that this side needs to be refreshed. We’re not head in the sands merchants like those cheerleading Manchester United supporters who didn’t acknowledge that they were actually finished as a credible force the very season Van Persie won the league for them on his own.
We see there’s a real risk of the club going backwards if people don’t do their jobs properly this summer.

i dislike Kennedy
Lennon is/was definitely an alright sort but he should have stepped down weeks ago. He should be sacked now! My sources tell me Kennedy is a sneaky bastard and has Lawwells ear.
I met John Kennedy and Brendan Rodgers. John was cool but meself and Brendan didn’t hit it off and during the time in each other’s company he had a pop at me and we had a slight altercation.
I wasn’t upset when he walked away from Celtic, in fact I felt a wee bit smug. I knew he was a wanker!

I’m struggling with the love in for Eddie Howe. He’s a jobbing English championship level manager. He’ll be solid, but there’s managers in Scotland I’d as soon have in.

Surely Howe generated cash from sales like Mings and Ake ? At a quick glance that’s nearly 60m in sales …don’t know what they were bought for originally
