Ajax have a wonderful youth development scheme in a country of 15 or so million that produces wonderful players . Also the Dutch league is miles stronger than the Scottish League .
Porto again play in a far better league than Scotland . They are in a country that produces far more good footballers than Scotland . Also Portugal is a gateway for players from South America .
That said currently Celtic are underachieving at an embarrassing level
Fair enough although id say that the teams in the bottom half of the league in Portugal and Holland are fairly average
