They still had to go and win it which they did. Were they 5,000/1 at the start of the season. I’d say a lot of Utds wins were around that total too.
He took over a club who were runners up two seasons before, he took one one of the biggest and most famous clubs in Europe who had billionaire Wall Street backers and he was made one of the highest paid managers in world football when he took on the job.

I genuinely thought Arsenal had it after Welbeck’s winner against them. They also bottled it
Liverpool were in 10th place when Klopp took over. They had finished 25 points behind the winners the prior season. 4 seasons later, 3 European finals later, a Premier league won in record time later and there are lads moaning about his salary and his expensive teeth. It is a wonderful time to be a Liverpool and Klopp supporter.
United won the League in 96/97 with just 75 points apparently. Only 79 points in 98/99’. Liverpool scraped 4th with 76 points a couple of years ago.
The great managers have raised the bar. Mourinho then Guardiola and now Klopp. No doubts Fergie would have struggled in today’s game.

Leicester were 3 points ahead of Liverpool when Klopp took over, they finished 21 points ahead of Liverpool that season.
Yep they were in freefall when he took over. A rebuilding job like that with a meagre budget seemed an impossible task.
Klopp has really turned it around. Leicester are now 31 points behind Liverpool , and only two places behind them.

Klopp has delivered, big fucking time. He is the first manager ever to win the CL and PL in his first 4 years at the club.

The press conference they had there before lunch, they all had one question each, and James Pearce told him that Steven Gerrard said that Klopp should have a statue of him made for outside Anfield, and would Klopp like that. Klopp said that they made those statues after Shankly and Paisley had died, and that he wants to live for a bit longer.
I dont mind Pearce, but you get one question the day after the club you report on and follw for years, and thats your fucking question?

They’re all nauseating to listen to. Listened to a couple of those TAW podcasts and they’re worse.
They are getting worse. Most of them are only bothered about getting a guard of honour off City. As if it mattered.
