Iâve no problem with Mr Desmond extending a courtesy to Mr Delaney and Mr OâNeill and adding Keane to a list of ten candidates for the role. It has certainly been a positive few days for all concerned and now we move onto the business of appointing our next manager.
We made a conscious decision to walk away from something that we care about due to its association with a toxic quisling. We wanted nothing to do with that, you were happy to embrace the possibility and subsequently show your hand. Those who threatened to abdicate on the possibility of Queen coming have shown themselves to be men of principle and action.
i feel sorry for the lads that hopped on the keane bandwagon, how many times does he have to burn them
I am willing to offer a sympathetic pass to @Rocko and @Bandage here providing they issue a humble apology and promise to be more courageous and independent in future. I think most people would agree that is more than fair.
Fair enough from all concerned. I wouldnât have taken the job were I Keane and Iâm not sure how Keane Celtic were on him either.
Large parts of Scottish society are incredibly bigoted. Not a place to bring up kids for an Irish manager of Celtic.
Keane stands by his country
As opposed to walking out on it for a third time?
My post was quite clear.
Celtic had 5-10 nominees they were thinking about. a few were approached, some feedback was given
but FFS , OâSqueal & The Traitor the media whores decided to play this whole thing out in public. why couldnt these cunts shut the fuck up like everyone else?

+1
Theyâve gone and entangled the likes of Rocko and Banadage up in their web of deceit.
@Andythemod9: Source close to Celtic tells PA: "Roy Keane was not offered the job - no-one has been offered it yet. 1/2
@Andythemod9: âBut Roy has ruled himself out and asked not to be considered for the position.â 2/2
Pay the compo and get big Mick McCarthy!

OâNeill really didnât need to be as forthright in his discussions with the media as he was. People assumed he wouldnât be talking so openly about the possibility of Keane joining unless it was a done deal. The fact Celtic hurried out a statement about an hour after that press conference was telling.
Yeah I found it strange. Who do you think he was so forthcoming?
Steve Clarke would be best option out of list of candidates imo.
Heâs realised Keane is a cunt and wants him out already. He was begging Celtic to take him.

I donât know - I think heâs been out of the club game for a while and felt like heâs be interesting in his press conference. He was sort of suggesting that he could do without the distraction and yet the normal thing would have been for him to ignore the questions entirely. He seemed to enjoy the mischief of it all.
This could be very close to the truth.
Roy Keane refuses to walk away from his country
Fuckwit armageddon averted then.
For the third time.
