it has to be Zemen , if Celtic fc had any soul left it has to be him

Just having a look at Larsson’s managerial record there. He managed Landskrona to 5th, 10th and 6th place finishes in the Swedish second division from 2010 to 2012 and has just taken over newly-promoted Falkenbergs in the first division with 3 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses from the first 10 matches. Legend status or not, it would be a stunning lack of ambition from Celtic to appoint him.

McNamara would be my guess as to who will be appointed. I think it’s unlikely any current or former EPL manager will take it as they can make better money in England - Lennon was only on £350k a year. That and the budget constraints that Lennon seemingly left over. I think it’ll be a cheap option anyway.

There’s a fair few “Celtic men” with managerial experience and who are available at the moment - @Rocko, David Moyes, Malky Mackay, Steve Clarke, Tony Mowbray to name but a few.

Celtic have more often than not employed someone with an attachment to the club - mainly ex-players but also supporters like O’Neill.

Other names that spring to mind currently managing teams but with Celtic links are Big Mick McCarthy, Jackie McNamara, Henrik Larsson, Paul Lambert.

Celtic have a July start to the season with Champions League qualifiers and nearly got caught out last season by Elfsborg and then Karagandy so the Board needs to act quickly.

Quite concerning that Lennon, who didn’t appear to rock the boat too much in relation to finances, is leaving to a certain extent because of his unease at transfer budgets for the season(s) ahead.

thinks its time to give john barnes a proper chance …

Choccy McClair.
