Yes, they keep beating Everton.
Iâm saving this page Bomber so that in 27 years time I can throw it back in your face. Weâll probably have holograms or teleportation by then, so I can do it in person.

I have absolutely no idea what this heavenly creature has to do with Fergie, but thank you, thank you Farmer for posting it nonetheless.
Where is he now Shan? There was talk of him coming to manage Sydney FC last year.
Bugger, I was so close to a stunning victory in the poll for this thread.
Eh, no Taz, he doesnât.

Scumpot clamped!
I presume all United supporters are hugely underwhelmed and disappointment by the apparently imminent appointment of Moyes.
Thereâs an argument to be made for giving him a chance and he has done reasonably well with Everton and all that but itâs a really conservative choice and there must be very very few United fans who would have had Moyes at the top of their wish list. I know thereâd be a mixed reaction if he was offered the Celtic job.
Itâs almost like thereâs no criticism allowed though. There were outcries when Hodgson was appointed at Liverpool and plenty of similar talk when Rodgers was given the job. But I think thereâs still a bit of reverence for Ferguson so all the talk is about his wonderful legacy and nobody wants to seem disrespecful about his underwhelming replacement.

According to my FB newsfeed, in 20 years time he will be just as much of a legend as Ferguson.
Did the BBC run a tribute programme last night to a manager who refused to speak to them for the bones of a decade?

Is there an argument to be made for not giving him a chance?
Surely itâs a much braver appointment than Mourinho or Ancelotti would have been given that Moyes is unproven in charge of a club of Unitedâs size?

I wouldnât say it is braver, it there certainly is more uncertainty attached to it than employing a Mourinho or Ancellotti. I know Moyes is on a fairly big wages at Everton but in terms of cost and profile it is a conservative appointment.

Itâs conservative because you donât have to deal with reputation and egos and a manager who might want to change the transfer policy etc. Youâre getting a guy whoâll be delighted to do the job and wonât upset the power brokers.
This is nuts. Big questions about his ability to manage at the top of the league. Everton are brilliant at not losing but pretty shit at actually beating very many teams. His teams are solid but with very few matchwinners and play a rigid style with a big man up top(although at least he likes a good wing back). When it starts to go wrong for him he will inevitably revert to type and go defensive.
Canât believe the glazers bought it as a good idea. Surely it doesnât work for immediate revenues, which is all they care about.
This is the graphic both Bandage and Horsey should have posted.

I presume the club is worth more now ths than when they bought it so they could just sell for a profit and not be too concerned with income. Theyâre only using the income to finance debt, theyâre really involved to sit back while the value grows and commercial deals by the club itself, and the the EPL and UEFA should look after that.
If he manages to sell another Rodwell type to City heâll be doing well enough by the owners.

Nope, theyâre not all top 4 teams.

Itâs a nuts appointment in my opinion. They are taking a guy on who has won nothing at as a manager, has no experience of managing in the CL and no tradition of playing attractive attacking football. He is coming from a club where expectations are low and not winning anything is acceptable and going to a club where he will be expected to win every competition he enters. He seems to be getting the job on the basis that he is Scottish and is happy to work away with Fergie looking over his shoulder. I think he is a good manager but at the end of the day his achievements amount to keeping a club who are in the top 10 wage bill payers in the top 10 in the EPL most seasons-a decent achievement but enough to land one of the biggest jobs in world football? Massive, massive gamble.
What? Ferguson plays guys like Phil Jones, Fletcher and Cleverley in midfield.
