In fairness what is happening to Limerick now is karma for the triumphalist goading of Big Dan Shanahan by Richie Bennis in 2007. They all thought it was a great laugh then but little did they know that the hurling gods would condemn them to a Groundhog Day of waking up every year in Division 1b and finding a different way to blow promotion.

Limerick used to beat Wexford by 20+ points per game under Teege for the most part. Now you’re resorting to crying about defeats against us with him gone. Limerick would have been better off persevering with him as that display against Kilkenny in 2014 was top class.

Congratulations to Wexford on an inspiring win. As I’ve always said, Davy Fitz is an alright sort. In fact, Davy is hurling.

As for Limerick, this just shows what’s in store for us if we don’t start enough Na Piarsaigh players. It’s all well and good trying to engineer a countywide spread in the teambut needs must in the league and games have to be won. Kiely take note.

It has to be said Fagan your shower has choked at every big event ye have got to. The semi vs Limerick in 2007 was supposed to be a cake walk.Ye are used to 20 points hiding by us many a day also. It is only the last fifteen years ye have been competitive so do me a favour and go and have a look at previous results.

Fcuk them, bunch of fucking hill billies. I like Derek McGrath, their skinning and mortification by Tipp last year was joyous. Shower always give it the big up. A couple of nice hurlers at the moment but no world beaters. Nullify Gleason and they are bang average. As stated Limerick done that SUPER minor side twice.

Imagine how good we’ll be when Davy’s training regime and playing systems are fully integrated and our clutch of injured players are back. We beat Limerick despite many squad members having to play with their colleges in The Walsh Cup and our preparations being quite fractured and disjointed. Our cohesion and confidence will sky rocket as the season develops.
