NHL Division 1B - The Wexford Procession

1b is where the drama is this year . I expect 4 battle hardened 1b teams to ambush all and sundry in quarter finals .

I was told the Borris-Kilcotton Victory Social is on the night before - is that right and have they many playing?

Meant for @myboyblue

This time on Sunday Limerick’s promotion hopes will be over.

Two codes. Two opening day defeats to Wexford. Two campaigns in absolute ruins.

Thought it was last week but could be wrong. They’d have upwards of 5 around the panel

We shall see…

Twitter expert my eye :triumph:

No. They are only showing 1A games this weekend. They are showing Laois v Offaly tomorrow week though.

The big league

A long time to be hiding

'Tis lucky I didn’t fully commit. Stradballys was last weekend.

Doesn’t look like it. I’ll be tuning in to the squeaky tones of Liam Aherne in the wee hours of the morning for it. Now that Geary is on sideline detail, will we see a return for Teege to the coveted co-commentator role, janooooiyymsayin?

1-man full forward line.

Who’re Aaron Maddock and Barry Carton, pal?

Hurlers.

Maddock was centre back on the minor team a couple of years ago. Was tied up with DCU for the Walsh Cup group stages and has been hurling Fitzgibbon with them. He apparently played well against Kilkenny in the semi-final in New Ross a couple of weeks ago (players whose colleges don’t qualify for the latter stages can then compete for their counties).

I think Carton was around the panel in the early stages last season but didn’t stay on it for whatever reason. He had a very good year with Cloughbawn who reached the county final and has shown up well in the Walsh Cup games. He’s a very busy player, hard grafter and can take a score.
