These journalists need to remember that GAA players are amateur and they all need to get up in the morning.
I think a code of journalistic conduct should be introduced to prohibit commentary on players’ individual displays.

I agree, these players are state funded amateurs that only get paid via our taxes and journalists should butt out

Not sure if this has already come up here but I heard from a very good source that a certain (and properly qualified ) mental health group of professionals have written a letter complaining to the government about a certain person speaking to the Oireachtas and pretending to be an expert and a voice on mental health. They view this both as dangerous and an insult and that this person is blatantly an opportunist.
I suppose it is similar to how fully qualified dietitians feel about model types/bloggers giving nutritional advice on social media, etc - after doing some mikey mouse certificate on nutrition. But that is another debate.

Fagan, I havent listened to the piece, and I loathe that McDermott cunt with the fire of a thousand suns, so I imagine it wasn’t a joke?

I watched it just there. On balance I’d say it was a joke but I couldn’t be sure as it was funny in any way.
I saw Roz on a show the other night when a few aspirant artist were painting a potrait of her. She is beautiful and seems an alright sort . She has no war paint (pun intended) .
