Had a lengthy chat at a funeral last week with a long time resident of the quay in Kinvara. Last months tides are typical of whats seen year in year out in his lifetime. There have been multiple occassions where the water line seen below has been exceeded.
The orange line is the level the water hit in 1961.
maybe the long term resident shouldn’t live in the sea?
I feel it’s not necessarily higher, but certainly seems more frequent.
Is it fresh, salt or brackish water in where those houses are?
Would appear to be the case.

While I completely agree with you I have recently got a pair of reading glasses and I often find myself putting them into that position in school
