Watched a four part reality tv/documentary on all4 over the last couple of nights - Go Back Where You Came From
In essence 6 brits - 4 women, two left leaning and two right and two men both right/anti immigrant are sent to Syria and Somalia and taken on the trek illegal immigrants have to take to get to the UK.
An interesting watch - the four right leaning folk initially seem to think that every immigrant coming to Europe wants to come to the UK - mainly because they will get put up in a five star hotel and get a flat screen tv. The levels of ignorance is off the scales

I saw a bit of an episode filmed in Calais and the former headbangers had their eyes opened
Yeah three of the four had big changes in opinion from it - but they were more ignorant than racist to begin with once they saw the human side they changed their tune.
One of the women was a serious hard chaw, Oxford educated who simply wasn’t for turning.
Some people never grow out of right wing student politics.
