My grandfather passed away in a nursing home near there in 2000. Iā€™d often go down with my mother on a Sunday to visit him. They did an ICONIC carvery back then. Theyā€™d absolutely pile the plate with roast beef.

Brought Ben & Jerry out there for the carvery a good few years back. They pile it on alright, but it was fair run down. Roaster heaven.

Him and another bowler mate lofted bowls for 30 odd minutes,
Both had a sod on the ground near each other
Both hit it or landed vv near it 90 pc if the time,
I worked for his late brother Johnny for a while,

FAO cork based forumites

Thereā€™s a cracking Indian/ Pakistani place in Togher called Desi Bites. Couple of times i collected it was full of Pakistani/Indian families atin which is always a good sign. Tho the place is very basic inside.

Anyway, the grub is sublime.

Highly recommend the samosa chaat starter- itā€™s for 2.
