to give some o’connell credit he’s no davy tweed
Not particularly no but would rather we had 32 county team singing two anthems than had two teams like football.
Good ol Davy
O’Connell is dead right, limey brit cunts out!!!
Itake no notice of bandage on anything to do with Cork, Munster, Rugby, Roma or celtic.
Wereas i do take notice of what you say, most of the time. There is no reason to Badny on rugby, generally there is with you, i just think this POC thing is outragously ridiculoius, we’ll agree to differ.
Steven Ferris thinks he’s from Britain, whats all that about?
Maybe the fact that he was born and reared in Great Britain:thumbsup:…
I’d prefer if they wanted to wear the Irish jersey they’d just sing the Irish anthem but instead we get the farce of two anthems. A shame really.
Perhaps he should play for a British team then.
Attaboy Micko, some man for one man
Strong Ireland team named for Tallaght
Wednesday, 25 November 2009 14:45
Mick O’Driscoll will captain the Ireland A team that will take on the Argentina Jaguares in the first ever international rugby match in Tallaght Stadium this Friday night.
The side contains seven full internationals and 13 players overall who were involved in the Churchill Cup victory during the summer.
The A team’s last outing saw them record a 48-19 win over Tonga in Ravenhill and the team to play the Jaguares has 10 changes to the starting fifteen from that game.
In the backs, Felix Jones is at full back in place of Gavan Duffy and both wings have also changed with Ian Dowling replacing Shane Horgan and Johne Murphy, who was on the bench against Tonga, coming into to start in place of Andrew Trimble.
Fergus McFadden moves to outside centre instead of Darren Cave and Keith Matthews is rewarded with a start at No.12. Ian Humphreys is retained at outhalf and will be partnered by provincial team mate Isaac Boss.
John Fogarty, who was originally due to play against Tonga but remained with the senior team as cover for Jerry Flannery, starts at hooker in place of his injured brother Denis.
There are two new second rows in Ryan Caldwell and captain Mick O’Driscoll as Devin Toner is rotated out and Donnacha Ryan starts in the backrow for this game. He is joined there by Niall Ronan at openside, in place of Sean O’Brien, and John Muldoon who will play No. 8 with Chris Henry reverting to the replacements.
Tickets for the game are still available from the O2 Store in the Square shopping centre in Tallaght and on the gates at Tallaght Stadium. You can also pay at the gate on the night.

Must be a good few pound in this for Shamrock Rovers.
Denis Hurley - whatever happened to that bloke?
Keith Earls! THink he got injured and Earls was first choice by time he recovered. Shame, I thought he would have been a first choice for Munster by now and knocking on the door of the Irish team.
Vastly overrated by Munster supporters - found out after a while.
Can’t say i know too many Munster fans that would rate him that highly, did well in 2008 when he bust on the scene but had a horror show in the final under the high ball…Picked up a bad injury at the start of last season and has been in and out of the team so far this year…

Can safely say Ulster lads are just as proud to play for Ireland as their southern counterparts. Two anthem thing doesn’t bother me really. There are far many more ways of expressing Irishness than signing an anthem and amuses me when those who immerse themselves in English culture for instance give out about the anthems (not a pop at you mbb).
No problem with POC and the ad apart from the fact that it is shite
Saw a nice sign in a field today between Portlaiose and Abbeyleix urging locals to buy Avonmore and support the local farmers
Proper Bo:thumbsup:

Locals supporting locals
As it should be:thumbsup:
Sean O’Brien has been added to the Ireland replacements bench for this Saturday’s GUINNESS Series Test match against South Africa at Croke Park (kick-off 2.30pm). O’Brien comes into the squad in place of Denis Leamy, who has failed to recover from his ankle injury he picked up against Fiji last weekend.
