Thinly veiled “I can’t handle my drink”
Almost as much of a joke as you suggesting that ROG isnt good enough to make a 39 man Irish squad
Im sure whatever 10s are in the squad will benefit from his experience. I would have included Humphs as well, he must have pissed in someones tea at some stage alright.
If the selection criteria was form and just two out halfs were being chosen, its indisputable that O’Gara is not good enough to make the squad. If form and not nepotism were the criteria for selection, O’Gara is probably even behind Ian Keatley in the pecking order.
Experience is also a factor in picking a squad. What your suggesting would be managerial suicide. One injury to Sexton and there is no doubt who is playing, O’ Gara. If he was dropped from a 39 man squad he’d probably retire. Humps and Keatley would have to play well at A level first, which is a step up from Magners League rugby.
Thinly veiled “I’m a binge drinker”
Getting back to matters at hand
England team to play Australia in Saturday’s Investec Challenge at Twickenham, kick-off 2.30pm:
U Monye (Harlequins); M Cueto (Sale Sharks), D Hipkiss (Leicester), S Geraghty (Northampton), M Banahan (Bath); J Wilkinson (Toulon), D Care (Harlequins); T Payne (Wasps), S Thompson (Brive), D Wilson (Bath), L Deacon (Leicester), S Borthwick (Saracens, capt), T Croft (Leicester), L Moody (Leicester), J Crane (Leicester).
Replacements: D Hartley (Northampton), D Bell (Bath), C Lawes (Northampton), J Haskell (Stade Francais), P Hodgson (London Irish), A Goode (Brive), A Erinle (Biarritz).
A distinctly average looking side.
Has Thompson’s line out throwing improved any bit at all in France, it became an awful liability for a finish up before he retired that time
Couldnt answer that puke, have only seen him play once against Leinster and wasn’t paying full attention to that game, only noticed he was playing some point around the second half.
While not on the subject have started watching Top 14 on Setanta, hugely enjoyable games to be seen there. The highlights package are pretty good too. Hugo Southwell playing for Stade, fucking hell…
The English front row is seriously dodgy. Moyne at FB ? Like the look of the half backs and Banaghan and geraghty are also good players. Wouldnt rule them out of beating OZ, particulalry with Jonny back in top form.
Top 14 is good stuff alright, great intensity to the games and good atmosphere at the games. Like the rule where you get a bonus point only for 4 tries more than the opposition, keeps fellas playing til the end

Fuck Betty Bonners, they don’t even serve panini’s
why would you eat it if they did???..brave man…:D:D
What is the West British Lions side likely to be for these friendlies and for the 6 nations? Can anyone apart from Kev hazard a guess?
Was looking at the odds for the 6 team shindig.
Frogs 5/2
Tans 3
Fake tan homos 10/3
West Brit Lions 7/2
Hadrians Wallboys 25
Italy 250
Surely the tans should be bigger than 3/1? As defending champions I think our Brits could be overpriced at 7/2. How are the Taffies shaping up?

Team could be, depending on injuries.
Kearney
Bowe
BO’D
Luke Fitz
Earls
Sexton
O’ Leary
Healy
Flannery
???
PO’C
DO’C
Wallace
Heaslip
Ferris
Thats our best team for it if all on form and fit, obviously i don’t have a 3, and it will probably be Hayes, but i’d like us to be looking elsewhere, possibly the Ulster 3, name escapes me.
Edit: Tom Court

Why would you bet on something you know nothing about? Surely you should be saving those aul sheckles that Lizzie gave you?

I take it that is a side comfortably better than the Tans? O’Leary has been rubbish at this level so far and Sexton could turn out to be a pile of goo. 7/2 is surely tempting? Where is the French game on?
You’re an odd wee fella I’m beginning to think…
