Dublin a bit better but had a stronger team out.

Dublin way more abrasive in the tackle and a bit smarter in the Hurling stakes from what I saw.

Lovely rambling commentary from Ed and Peter befitting of the occasion. No shouting or roaring, just chatting away with long silences in between. Two fellas at total ease in each others company.

Dublin have Clare in Ennis on January 25 in round 1 of the league with promotion at stake I’d say ye will go strongest available, between tonight and last Sunday suggests they’re priming for that. Wexford start with Antrim at home, Down away and Carlow at home realistically 3 games we should be winning before heading to Croke Park on February 21st.

You’ll be hard stopped this year I think

Yeah, I’d agree with that. Dublin a bit further along

They were a great listen.

They have it.

What age is Ed? Chap is lugging bags of coal every day. He’s about 50, but he was on about a match that happened in 1980 on the back field in Oulart last night… more than 50? Doesn’t look it. Wexford hurling’s answer to rain man.

Early 50s I think.

The great Ed was 42 in October 2016 when bowing out with a Junior A county title, according to the article linked. That would make him early 50s alright.

John needs to relax.

John would be the first man calling for their reintroduction if they were scrapped.

They’re grand aul challenge matches and raise a few bob for players in tough straits. Nowt wrong with them at all.

If they weren’t on they would be playing challenge games anyway so what’s the difference.

He is but those aul snippets of sum junior hurler is a 2nd cousin to the wexford football goalie get a bit annoying after a while.
