Offaly the better team for most of the half and worth their lead. We persisted a bit long trying to work the ball with Offaly ravenous for tackling.
A decent lead now in the blink of an eye.

Offaly should have this game put to bed. Not for the first time this year the interplay of the Clare forwards has been non existent

Offaly a good bit better. A lot more direct in their hurling, way more direct in their running and better in the air. Our lads still hurled like kids at times. You can see it means a lot to Offaly. Although if that ‘uibh fhailí’ chant is the price of having them back at the top I’m not sure it’s worth it.
