Last yearās U-20ās were unlucky enough to lose to Kilkenny in the Leinster final. Should have won it really. Missed 2 penalties. 5 up in extra time regardless. Kilkenny obviously went on to win the final then. So didnāt win it but they were every bit as good as the eventual winners.

Ah yeah I know, but classic fcuking Galway. 5 up in injury time. Drives me mental. Get all anxious when we should actually be pulling further ahead. The most Galway of Galway abject collapses after all the hard graft that had been done. Thatās what we need to stop. The year before, cark just walked all over us.

Thst Cork team were as good an underage team Iāve seen since the Limericks from the early 2000s.
The Cork Under 20 winning team from 2021 was the best underage team since the All Conquering Limerickās from 2000 to 2002?

That Galway side where the worst conditioned group of young fellas Ive ever seen. The big lads had huge asses on them and the small lads were tiny. Diurmid Kilcommons played Cork on his own that day and has never been seen since.
That was a Leinster semi-final. Wexford lost the Leinster final to Kilkenny by a point last year. Galway did throw it away really though. Particularly when you consider that Galway team were 10 points better than everyone else at minor in 2019.
Youāre upset I didnāt mention that team around the early 2010s.
Its absolutely mental stuff to think Cork 2021 were better than Kilkenny 2006, 2008, Tipp 2010, Galway 2011, Clare 2012, 2013, 2014, Limerick 2015, 2017 or Waterford 2016.
Time will tell. Iāve a feeling theyāll backbone a Cork team that will win an All Ireland. That Galway team they walked through had won the minor.

Agreed. Had a look at the Cork team there, good group but only one definite senior (Joyce), one probable (Downey) and after that hard to tell. Power is the best prospect next. Very hard to tell where the likes of Ethan Twomey, Ben Cunningham, Darragh Flynn, Brian Hayes etc will end up; could easily fall short at senior inter-county.
You must be mixing up the 2020 team and the 2021 team. The 2020 team were shit hot and a bulk of that team are already central figures in the senior panel.
Good group yeah but nowhere near the likes of Clare or Tipp in 2010.
I think Ethan Twomey is made for the top level with a bit of bulk.
OāSullivan and Quirke could make it in midfield. Flynn, Hayes are good players. Power has it IMO.
I still wouldnāt write off Jack Cahalane.
Overall Iād definitely pick the 2021 team over 2020. Letās not forget they played that entire championship without Shane Barrett and Alan Connolly.
