What number was Niland? Leahy looked a class act for Kk as did Galway centre forward
No 14. Quite enough from play but good freetaker. Monaghan (cf) was the main man for Galway today.
Niland didnāt live up to his reputation but a bit like Joe against Cork could not be faulted for effort overall when things werenāt happening for him personally. Positive dynamic for Galway, something weāve lacked on the past. If Monaghan is out the next day and he probably will be, weāll need Niland to show what heās really made of to stand any chance.

Only for Leahy we were fucked altogether.
I though Niland was excellent apart from a few wides. He got on the ball a lot and caused Kilkenny all kinds of problems. He made the first goal and unloaded good passes for quite a few points. Fouled a lot as well including at the end when he was relatively butchered compared to the diving catfuck before him. Cuntish ref almost handed it to the Cats, was probably worried about the crowd reaction as all the striped ones were in their seats for the extra time.
