Official All Ireland Minor and U20 Hurling & Football Thread (Part 2)

Corner forward. Same thing really.
I actually instigated the move by informing the banaisteoir at half time that there was no way I was marking that little fcucker in the second half. The banaisteoir suggested I just get a hold of his jersey. I explained that I couldn’t get close enough.

Sadly a situation that I know all too much about…

That’s overblown. Tipperary are great at producing winter hurlers with average pace these days

I’d wait for the throw in tonight to see if that team starts. This team/panel has been like the Third Secret of Fatima all year.

The initial word was very much that they’d be pulled but as the game has got closer the pressure has come on to play.

There was a one way debate that they should play U20 and no more about it on Tipp FM on Monday night. The usually sanguine Ken Hogan and Tom McGrath were strong on the issue.

The tactics employed at this grade so far this year have been shocking.

The Limerick game was winter hurling and the Cork game was more like summer conditions and Tipp were better.

They mightn’t have got much credit for improving, but they improved.

Cork are poor enough and will struggle to get any senior panelists from this crop.

Would there be any appetite to clean house in the county board if nothing is won this year?

I don’t think the board will be left with any other option if this group fails to get out of Munster mixed with their pathetic style of handball/hurling.

Last years tactics v Offaly were so negative, in reality cork lost that Munster final with 17 wides rather than Tipp winning it.

What part of TG4 is the Clare-Tipp u20 game on?

Cork are rubbish with a rubbish management, I’d read nothing into that result.

Are Fred and James Hegarty brothers and are they sons of Fergal Hegarty?

No and one of them is. They are first cousins

Tipp have missed a good few easy chances so far.

James Hegarty is a smashing prospect

He is like a Quarter Back there for this Clare side.

Inaghmona will surely win the Canon Hamilton soon

Paddy McCormack is a smashing hurling when he decides to hurl

He was the best 6 at this level last year as an under 18.

Pitch is disgraceful for a game like this

Those two points before half time were vital for Tipp.

A one point lead would have been deflating when they’ve been well on top.

Whoever gets the first goal here will win i think.

Clare with the breeze this half

Smashing finish from Martin
