Why the fuck have change kits if both teams are going to play in blue?
That was some chance on the break for Chelsea. Thought they rushed it a bit. They had 4 v 2, Ramires didn’t need to shoot first time if he wasn’t sure of scoring.
Great strike from Ivanovic. Hazard was terrific in the build up twice.
I think Kompany is a very dumb defender, although he wasn’t responsible for the goal there, look at his positioning for the initial effort that was blocked, he had nearly dropped back on top of Hart before making the block.
City look poor (bar Kolarov), reckon we’ll take them at Wembley.
Hazard has been sensational. That was a lovely run to set up Eto’o for that one off the post.
Just like Liverpool did when they played City, Chelsea are putting them under all kinds of pressure and forcing mistakes. City are average enough at the back.
This is a serious reality check for Manchester City, and if you look through their team, it’s not that big a surprise. Milner, Demichelis, and Navas are not top players. I remain to be convinced that Negredo and Dzeko are as well. Defence looks very poor tonight. Chelsea are outnumbering them in midfield.
Chelsea certainly have more real quality throughout their team tonight.
Pat Nevin and Off the Ball mentioned this in preview. Most teams afraid to attack city ( like United under Ferguson or Barcelona). But if you have quality to attack them defence is dodgy.
There’s definitely more goals in this for Chelsea. Could be 3-0 or 4-0 the way it’s going.
Started watching after HT-City are all over the place at the back. If Mourinho had any sense he would tell Luiz to end Kompany’s season now with a leg breaker and Chelsea will win the league.
There’s Davies Provan with his “Joe Hart could have taken that into his gloves” catchphrase. Taken that into his gloves. I can’t explain why this annoys me so much.
Jose Mourinho truly is a wonderful manager.
The loss of Aguero and Fernandinho cannot be understated here, but City’s squad should be able to absorb such losses. defence has been an issue for some time, a settled partner for Kompany who has suffered this season through injury is badly needed. But credit Mourinho once more, he’s played this excellently so far, and a word for the wonderful John Terry.
On match of the day a week or two ago they were calling City the best team in the world.
Well if Alan Shearer said it…
Kompany is a liability.
Tiger Tim Sherwood said it too.
Hansen and Keown
Oh well, that’s entirely different isnt it, why didnt you say that
Chelsea really should be going for the kill. If they don’t get a second they may regret it. It’s a game they really need to win.
No he’s a terrific player, bro. I can’t understand how a club that as spent as much as City have Demechellis starting as centre half in a match this big.
