They paid to take Torres on loan for two seasons. I assume there was a clause to buy him and a clause to end deal early. Probably most cost effective to sign him and send him to Atletico and get Alessio Cerci in return rather than release him back to Chelsea and sign Cerci

I’m in London on international business mate and was out entertaining this evening so missed this game. Sounds like I missed a good one. If Simeone can get Torres confidence back then I envisage a lot of fun for the rest of the season.
