In fairness to Rick he advertises his establishment as a burger bar and not a chipper. The chips are 2, so the price reflects that you arenât getting a proper bag of chips.
Had a burger in Ricks on Friday night. Absolutely gorgeous.
Had Ricks special one day, unreal. Youâd be good for about 12 hours after it.
I am pleased to confirm i returned to Fredaâs tonight where i enjoyed a smashing bag of chips and a dignified quarter pounder with cheese.
Also, itâs good to see another chipper thread. We can never have enough of these.
kev- a man as well travelled as you is needed on the cork offaly travel thread
I think iâll drop in there now in a minute.
Nice people in Offaly, not sure if i want to go to Tullamore though to see us hammer 12 kinds of shite out of them though.

sorry Kev, its the setanta thread
Dinos, Terenure.
Nutjobs in there but food is superb.
Fine chipper. Scary sometimes when the mother is behind the counter. Sheâs 4 foot cubed I reckon and youâd dread the conversations. Anytime she says a word to Dino, he rolls his eyes and looks like heâd love to throttle her. Funny shit.
Rose is a legend.
If you look past the arms mind you!
Thanks for that Mac. Thatâs exactly the info I was looking for.
Iâm in.
Good portering town, the Brewery Tap and the Wolf Pack are decent pubs while the Bridge House hotel has a large nightclub in it that is full of rough/loose women from the surrounding counties
Few rednecks in there though pukey, you wouldnt wanna be looking at some fellas burd the wrong way.
Not sure that I quite get the introduction of âchippersâ to this thread (and at least one other) but as weâre on the subject âŚ
Borzaâs in Sandymount (though I havenât been there in a while) and Aprileâs in Stillorgan are super. Iâve been to Burdochs up Christchurch way once or twice and it was a pretty impressive single.

Aprileâs in Stillorgan is indeed fantastic. And anything that reminds me of Richie Aprile is a good thing too.
another fine eaterie in wexford town is fusciardi near redmond square but i think the premier would be the nicest chipper, varied menu too.
the borza in tallaght villageâŚlovely feedâŚ
NCC is right.
As for chippers in Dublin, Borza on the Cromwellsfort Road is the best in the country. Fact.
