Olympics 2016

It is. Must be a hairy descent. General feeling over here about armistead fwiw @Matty_Hislop, is that irrespective of whether or not she is taking peds, she shoukd have been suspended for the Olympics.

Yes and no. A very dangerous descent. People taking do or die risks for a gold medal.

Delighted the bitch didn’t get a medal.

Didn’t see the ladies race but thought the men’s crash was a careless in circumstances. Had race between them if all stayed up

Why? Dutch druggy got it instead.

Nibali is an animal on the descents. Probably reckoned the Colombian would beat him in the sprint.

Dry your eyes mate.

There appears to be a distinct lack of Republic of Ireland members on the Ireland Olympic team.

Fucking hell. :unamused:

Timmy is good, loves the game and very knowledgeable. When if is a genuinely good game I’d enjoy him but hes caught up in his own hype half the time. Just now he’s getting exciTed about Brazil getting a shot in when theyre 6 points down with 1 second left.

It was a brilliant race. Interesting see has Froome taken too much out of himself before the TT. Was foolhardy attempt to get back on he had no chance really

Would agree. Don’t think he will win the TT though. Tom Dumoulin maybe. Pulled out of the road race early.

Each to their own

We have to admit to him do we?

He’s wan of our own alright

Somewhat recognized the accent but from 80/90’s basketball i was thinking. He added to his vocab sonce then i’d say.

David Oliver Joyce up shortly on RTE2

He used to play with Blue Demons back in the day. Id say he is one of best Irish players ever. He was at our school a few times presenting medals and stuff. I came across him a few times over the years he is a gent and a very successful guy in professional life as well. The commentary just a bit of craic for him id say

Jesus that female cyclist got a decent thump off the ground there.

Nice to see Shane Ryan break the National record in qualifying for the 100m backstroke semi-final today. Born in the States, his father kicked ball with Portarlington way back when.
