Only the 2022 National Hurling League? Only the Allianz 2022 National Hurling League

Bonnar at 14 not a great sign to me.

Tipp have a long road to travel to get competitive again. I’m sure cahill will have had them back in early though so they may give the league a rattle.

Limerick have plenty challengers this year, Clare, Galway and Kilkenny would all fancy another go.
Cork have the youngsters coming, still think its too early for them, but that could change quickly. Limericks team in 18 was very young and they grew into it very fast.
I am very interested to see if Wexford can add anything. They’ve been solid but unspectacular for a long time now. They’ll need to find a few more bodies. Forwards especially.
File Waterford under the fucks knows category. Its Waterford and its Davy. Anything could happen.
I would have Tipp behind all of those. But we will see what Cahill can do with them. Same problem as last year for me. The old guard fading and the young guard not ready. Another transition year I think.

Dublin and Antrim will fancy their chances against most of the above as well in a one off.

Should be a cracking season.

Tipp are an interesting one, I am a little surprised to see them being touted in the article above.

However, Cahill is clearly a good manager. I know Waterford had a disaster of a season last year post-Limerick game but he had brought them from being an absolute rabble in 2018/2019 to an All-Ireland final and were probably the second best team in the country in 2021.

Overall, Tipp were really poor last year. Two brave defeats and two woeful performances doesn’t really cut it. So they couldn’t possibly be as bad again. They also won back-to-back U-20/21 All-Irelands in 2018/19 which haven’t really kicked on at senior level yet. Plus a decent U-20 team last year. So it’s not like they have no raw materials.

Having said that, you would expect improvements in Waterford & Cork as well compared to last year. So even if Tipp were to improve massively, there is no guarantee they would make it out of the group. I was relatively impressed with their general setup when I saw them in the Munster League too. It’ll be an interesting season.

They should be fitter, better conditioned and better coached than last year, but that was a pretty low bar.

Thanks pal.

They were poor last season. Looked burnt out. Hard to see them mounting a serious challenge to be honest, but :person_shrugging:

I don’t think they will mount any challenge anyway, but should be a bit more competitive

Hope so. Never seems a right championship without tipp having a tilt.
