Paganism of Poch

Playing Kane was a mistake, he was bullied all night long by Virgil and Matip. He just wasn’t fit and couldn’t have been expected to perform in the biggest game of the year after being out for so long

You wanted Klopp sacked. You haven’t a clue.

Did I? I recall saying that he needed to deliver.

Even before last night he had delivered. You wanted progress to be rewarded with a sacking while lauding managers who were failing to even win Mickey Mouse competitions.

He hadn’t delivered anything before last night.

Men against boys last night. Coach Klopp was able to adapt his usual game plan in the hot conditions and win easy. Spurs were happy to be there.

I think Kane played his usual game against a strong side. He drops deep and hides, same as Croatia-England last summer. Spurs really needed a threat in behind to stretch Liverpool and he didn’t want to know.

He is a good manager but his behaviour the last few days was awfully strange, he was carrying on like Spurs were under no pressure at all and just going to enjoy the occasion. Reminded me of a non-league manager going to the Etihad in the 3rd round of the cup. Its no wonder they started the game so badly and conceded a penalty within 30 seconds. Even being out on the pitch at the end for an interview was strange. I imagine any big clubs who thought he might be worth looking at would be having second thoughts.

Wearing suits and walking on hot coals. Occasion got to him.

The history of Spuds both accepts and celebrates failure.

A fully fit (or close to fully fit) Harry Kane is our best player and talisman and one of the best strikers in the world. Pochettino knows more than anyone else about the physical condition and sharpness of the players. If he felt he was ready then he was ready. He just came up against the best central defender in the world on the night in Virgil Van Dijk.

Moura didn’t made a huge impact when he came on. He had two good chances and fluffed both of them. We win and lose as a team and we didn’t do enough as a team to win. It’s amusing how all the Spurs haters here personalise every defeat to Harry. We were playing against one of the best defences in Europe last night, not against a naive Ajax team of kids who couldn’t handle a few long balls or Big Fernando throwing his weight around. Son, Eriksen, Bamidele and Moura when he came on weren’t able to make any headway against that Liverpool defence.

Incredible achievement, unbelievable
To bring a club like Spurs to a Champipns league final and dominate an admittedly poor game,
Spurs need to cherish him while he’s there, won’t be for much longer

More excuses. You’re delusional.

Spurs were fierce naive. Going over on Thursday morning and arseing around. They probably got on a “hop on hop off” red bus and did the Bernabeu tour. Meanwhile Liverpool learnt from last year and arrived as late as possible.
