Irelandâs Colin Lynch has won the silver medal in the C2 Time Trial Road Race at the Paralympic Games in Rio.
Saw a young lad with one leg out cycling his bike today with his pals. The Paralympics are fair inspirational - shows kids anything is possible.
I played wheelchair rugby a few years ago. Once you get over the David Brentesqueness of trying to knock a disabled kid out of his wheelchair it is some craic.
Absolutely brilliant, only played it once but it was uber competitive. I spent 13/14 years messing with my auld lads spare chairs and because quite adept with it. Basketball is very technical as well.
I played against Neptune (in wheelchairs) when a young lad and the wheelchair bound team (and me and a cousin) hammered them. Was a great leveller.
Played basketball too. Against younger kids. You get a fair rattle when the chair collides in the rugby
Great leveller alright to play against kids in wheelchairs who are better than you at it. funny how you feel different once you are back standing again
You should definitely go up to rebel wheelers some Saturday. Youâd get a lot from it i would say and they would too.
Unreal hits and nothing spared
Murderball
Poor old Henry McKean was trying it out on Newstalk earlier, seemed to be a great outlet for young fellas, proper competitive sport it seems.
you be black and blue

Patrick Monahan, the guy who was on Thank GAA its Friday last week, had to withdraw from his 800M wheelchair race on medical grounds.
It has been confirmed that Irelandâs sole wheelchair racer at the Paralympic Games has been withdrawn from the T53 800m heats scheduled for tomorrow, on medical grounds.
Caraghâs Patrick Monahan, who is set to make his Paralympic debut in Rio is also scheduled to compete in the T53 marathon on Sunday, September 18.
It is hoped he will recover in time to take to the start line for that event on the final day.
a very confident lady, she is sitting there beside Joanne who is pouting and forcing a pleasant look on her face as the girl with no legs plays a blinder operating at a level that Joanne has been trying for years to reach.
and when Joanne gets her turn to read the auto cue the girl with no legs sits there in a similar fashion, false smile gritting her teeth.
id say they fucking hate the guts of each other.
