Paulie O'Connell - Pinergy Brand Ambassador

Thatā€™s the point, heā€™s not. I think he could play the game while maintaining a connection to the people and he can inspire people.

Would not surprise me if he gave it a go in 15-20 years.

Limerick hasnā€™t been this shook by an injury since Gary Kirby got a few fingers lightly bruised in 1996.

Big time. Heā€™s made out to be this invincible ā€œSuperman wears Paul Oā€™Connell pyjamasā€ type fella and yet a slight tweak of the hamstring has finished him

Paul Oā€™Connell is the man that will lead us to a United Ireland.

Itā€™s no wonder the partitionists on this forum hate him.

:open_mouth:

Take care, the possibility of him having been shot has yet to be ruled out.

Selling pay as you go electricity at increased prices to poor people

actually wondered about this. Is there a significant hike?

Ends up average of 300 euro per year more expensive or 30% according to bonkers.ie

Would you have said no to the money?

Thatā€™s not the question. You were lauding him as inspiration to people and a politician.

I think I would say no. I also wouldnā€™t advertise pay day loans which you see in UK - wonga etc with APR of 1000%. That is my moral code insofar as I think it is wrong to use a nice guy celebrity to sell to poor people products that are more expensive but costs are not apparent unless you read small print.

He has to live with what he does and I suspect he is facing a life of deteriorating physical well being based on interviews and his reported back problems.

He has to look after himself but i donā€™t have to respect him

No, but that wasnā€™t the question.

Still doesnā€™t mean he is not a good person or that he wouldnā€™t make a good politician. Maybe he did or didnā€™t or should know what he is promoting, but at the end of the day people need to make decisions themselves too.

And he is.

Whats your point?

Paul Oā€™Connell is morally bankrupt.

Heā€™s throw his granny down the stairs for a quick buck.

Didnā€™t you say you worked for PwC on the Budget thread?

Oh dear.

Had he already signed his contract with Toulon? Will he now get paid? If so, 9 less months of repetitive brain trauma at his age is a good outcome.
