Stats virtually incomprehensible there. Lewis with a higher average and twice as good on the doubles still loses.

Barney got to the doubles quicker than Lewis but his average was severely damaged by the amount of missed doubles he had.
There were legs were Barney had 5 or 6 missed doubles before he won the leg while Lewis was languishing on scores he could not check out from.

Yep. Lewis had a more high checkouts than Barney, but was sluggish in the mid part of the legs.

The BDO influence on this year’s pdc tournament is, yet again, massive.
13 of the last 16 participants came from the BDO system - Adrian Lewis, Michael Smith and Darren Webster being the only exceptions.
It looks all but certain that for the 22nd time in 24 tournaments, the winner will be a product of the BDO.
