Very, very harsh Anto. You could hardly accuse Wes of bottling it. The better man won, just about. Newton displayed plenty of guts to take this match to the distance, he deserves tremendous credit for that performance.
Maybe a bit harsh but he was 2-0 up and should have kicked on, his darts kept straying into the 5’s, which is always a sign he was under pressure. I think Wright deserves more credit, played bad and still won. I think he will beat the winner of this game.
This match is going to be close as well, White is a very steady player and will push Whitlock. Whitlock is another that craic’s under pressure, so it will be interesting to see how he goes here.
