People Kev knows

That’s a very good summation - thanks for taking the time to make the effort explain. The county board stand indicted again it seems.

Thurles senior football will be fascinating to watch this year, I suspect it will play out as both of us know

Really since they changed the structures to eliminate dual players at underage any chance of Tipp going anywhere in football has gone

Tipp have history in outside men taking the minors.
Keith Ricken was minor manager back in the 90s and the great Dermot Early did a stint too.

Distinguished Company. Maybe football is dead in Tipp.

The County Board made a mess of their management appointments at underage last Autumn. In the end nobody would take the U17 gig so were left with Kev.

The previous Minor Management should have been allowed step up to U20 after three decent years but were shafted.

The bigger issue is that as @the_man_himself alluded to, the best footballers in Tipp are also the best hurlers and Hurling is the only show in town.

Tipperary’s success in Football was built on the 2011/2012 minors who were nearly all dual. Bill Maher, Seamus Kennedy, Steven O’Brien, John Meagher, John McGrath, Liam McGrath, Colin O’Riordan etc all outstanding dual players.

Thanks to the split season zealots who insist upon round robins at underage, Football in Tipperary has effectively been ended as a pastime.

Should it be all knock out?

A backdoor format would be grand for Minor.

U20 should be straight knockout.

But but but

Who are they?

This kind of them interests me.

They are us. That’s all. The county board is a body comprised of a representative of each club

The exec is of them. Elected from them or by them.

If they don’t give a fuck it’s because that’s what the people want. Or don’t want as the case may be.

Didn’t Drom & Inch pull out of the Senior Championship a couple of years ago? What was the story behind that? They were no-hopers in the Hurling so it can’t have been to focus on that purely?

You know there’s more grades than just minor and u20, right?
