40 years ago you would have been jumping over each other to be the first to tell us about this crazy group you heard about called Monty Python and how theyā€™re the future of comedy, if not all culture and art.
Now youā€™re too cool for school and revisionism is the in thing, so theyā€™re now tiresome.

Which is terribly tiresome

How are they beginning to give people a pain the hole now so?

dunno, thatā€™s the way its gone now, I suppose.

Some of the Python stuff is relevant even nowadays. I canā€™t look at or listen to Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Davies or any of those idiots pushing Brexit without thinking of the Upperclass Twit of the Year sketch.

Hereā€™s the #metoo movement - A great historical interpretation of the treatment of strong/ opinionated / different women in the early modern period. Once you were accused you were as good as done ā€¦ the whole witch hunt was of course a way of controlling society (women) and imposing certain standards of purity / behaviour as culture and society was beginning to change post reformation and structures of local male power were breaking down.
