Peterhead v Celtic

Strong enough side picked by Neil. Great to see Izzy back in the lineup and Wilson’s first start in a long time too. McCourt’s first game back after his calf strain also.

You wonder how Brown ever made it to be a professional football after some passes. He’s not playing that badly but he can hit 10 yard passes 10 yards wide of the mark.

Stokes should have done much better with that chance. He has better technique than that.

Loving Mulgrew’s green shorts, white socks, orange boots outfit.

Ki smashes it off the bar from 20 yards and next touch is his header again from the same spot. Some power.

We’re too laboured in our passing. Need to move it quicker and have better off the ball movement too.

Smashing ball from McCourt. 1-0 Stokes.

Scott Waites has won over on BBC Bandage, I know you’re not watching that so I thought I’d inform you.

You’re quite a weirdo.

Smashing ball by McCourt and good awareness by Samaras to square it for the tap in. Should be plenty of goals now the first has come and they tire.

Paddy is owning the game in that deep central role. They can’t get close in case he runs at them so loads of time to pick his passes.

Where did this myth come about that Cha has pace. The guy is no quicker than your average lower league Scottish player.

How did that cunt escape a booking there?

Stokes gets hacked and doesn’t stay down so no yellow card. Unbelievable incompetence.

Provan repeatedly referring to Forster in goal and Crocker emphasising Zaluska’s name every time the ball comes near him but Provan hasn’t copped on.

Poor enough game but not playing all that badly.

Just a bad surface and a team that have offered nothing going forward so they’ve restricted the space. Think bringing Paddy inside more helped us keep the ball better and gave them something different to think about because they’ve doubled-up out wide. Would imagine there are more goals to come.

Wouldn’t be too confident of playing Kelvin Wilson in a league game any time soon. Looks quite rusty and slow on the turn.

I just happen to think he’s shit.

Sorry lads, but I’m in a very cynical mood regarding Celtic due to our transfer policy. I’d be doubtful as to whether we will make any move this window and if we do they will be significantly underwhelming.

I’m worried that is the case, especially after his Ibrox display in September. But how many games has he played? He probably deserves another run of matches before we can conclude more definitively. When he was signed it was mentioned that his pace, or more particularly his recovery pace, was excellent and that would be important for us given our full backs go forward and space down the sides of the centre backs can be present. But if anything he looks a bit cumbersome and slow on the turn.

Superb Stokes.

That was a terrific clean strike from Stokes for 2-0.
